Arc Flash Class 1

PPE for work in the low-voltage range where arc faults with an incident energy of up to 4kA can occur.

 

The optical radiation, the convective heat flow of the hot plasma and gas flow and the plasma jets that occur at the base points of the arc lead to thermal stresses and damage. Depending on the intensity of the arc, the strong heat flow ignites and ignites combustible materials located in the immediate vicinity. The liquid metal splashes emitted by the arc further increase the risk of fire.
