HB presents many news at A+A fair 2023

Oct 24, 2023

This year, the leading international trade fair for occupational safety is all about sustainability and innovation at HB Protective Wear. The experienced PPE manufacturer is not only presenting numerous new collections and products, many of which are made with environmentally friendly fabrics and accessories.

HB is also launching its new campaign "THE PROTECTIVE MARK!" at this year's A+A, which the company will place at the centre of its brand communication in the coming years. With this, the company gets to the heart of its brand: desirable safety for protecting people from the dangers in their workplace.

HB's trademark, the green sea turtle, will also be given an even more prominent role in the future: all products made of environmentally friendly materials will be marked with a turtle with a green leaf fin and bear the words "Green Turtle".

Since the topic of sustainability will be an even stronger focus of all activities at HB Protective Wear in the coming years, the company has even created its own logo for this purpose, which will of course also be on display at the trade fair.

Originally developed from a project by HB trainees to give fabric waste a second life in new products, SustainHBility will in future form the bracket around all sustainable activities by and at HB Protective Wear.

Among the sustainable products in the new HB General Catalogue 2024 are the new Flammgard® KLASSIK shirts for daytime firefighters. The comfortable polo shirts are made from recycled polyester and the lightweight shirts and blouses are made with 100% organic cotton fabric.

These materials are also used in the new ESD coats from HB Protective Wear's popular CONDUCTEX® range. They are available for men and women in two versions and also offer excellent discharge values in the more environmentally friendly alternative.

When it comes to arc flash protection, HB is breaking new ground with the HB-4Energy collection: it combines lightweight rip-stop fabric with stretchable and abrasion-resistant elements to provide protection in all the right places. The elastic components provide exceptional wearing comfort with plenty of freedom of movement. This modern multi-risk collection was specially developed for the energy supplier and grid operator market and meets the current zeitgeist, as it covers many work areas and is a real eye-catcher because of the different and innovative materials.

In the ARC & ENERGY range, a new sweatshirt now complements the extensive HB-MODarc&vis® product series. Equipped with class 2 arc protection, it can be worn either as an alternative to a jacket or as additional protection underneath.

Furthermore, the multi-risk classic HB-MultiPro FR® has been completely revised. The pleasant material with its very special feel combines the protection requirements of arc fault class 2 with warning and weather protection as well as welding protection class 2, and together with a significantly optimised cut ensures a high level of wearer comfort. The modern design in the innovative combination of the signal colours yellow and orange with grey makes this all-round protection consisting of parka with separate hood, zip-in fleece jacket, waistband and dungarees perfect.

Exceptional freedom of movement is also offered by the new Mix & Match welding protection HB-ComFlex®, which is available in two versions: one as elastic denim for medium to heavy welding work, and additionally with resistant high-tech fabric in particularly exposed areas for intensive welding and flex work, as well as risky work situations. This modern and industrially washable PPE can be adapted to the different areas of application and workplaces and combined with each other, supplemented by a "vegan" welding apron that also meets the requirements of textile service providers to a particularly high degree. In both versions

A real eye-catcher in both versions, because the denim gets its very individual authentic used look after washing.

In response to the special requirements for PPE for work with high temperatures or liquid metal, HB has relaunched its bestseller HB-FluidMetal Pro: it is now called HB-HeavyMetal Pro and is available in two weight classes. The material has good moisture management and is comfortable to wear thanks to the balanced material mix and segmented reflective stripes. Dynamic design and trendy colour combinations such as anthracite/petrol as well as ergonomic features stand for modern PPE with a high protective function at the same time.

And last but not least, the new country-specific Flammgard® collection "Bayern" complements the HB range in the FIRE & RESCUE SERVICES sector. It was developed for the Bavarian fire brigade and comes in the colours dark blue and red.

In the new catalogue, HB Protective Wear continues to focus on an eye-catching presentation of its products in the brand imagery and advertising motifs. PSA is not only presented in an unusual context, but also against a local backdrop: All model photos show nature motifs from the Westerwald. As product models, the company's own employees will, of course, once again take on the role of advertising ambassadors.
