Generous donation from HB to the "Tafel"
A total of 436 items handed over to the central warehouse
HB Protective Wear has donated a total of 436 items to the charity organisation “Die Tafel e.V.”. The items mainly consist of trousers and dungarees in dark, hard-wearing colours, with and without reflective strips, cold-weather trousers for women, as well as gloves and parkas. The selection was agreed in advance with a coordinator from Die Tafel to ensure that the clothing provided was as closely as possible to the type that the volunteers need most for their work.
The items were transported from Thalhausen to the Tafel central warehouse in Cologne and will be distributed from there to the other Tafel distribution points and sites. Our jackets and trousers are primarily used by the drivers who transport the food donations, as well as by those working in the cold stores. This made it all the more pleasing that the donation also included warm clothing, such as our TEMPEX® Classic cold-protection trousers and parkas.
Tafel expressed its heartfelt thanks to HB for the generous donation – which was put to use with great enthusiasm straight away at the central warehouse in Cologne. Klaus Berthold, the owner of HB Protective Wear, has always been passionate about charitable initiatives. “I am delighted that our donation has been so well received by the first recipients and is fully serving its purpose. That is exactly how it should be,” says Berthold.
